The Software Engineer I role at Mastercard’s Core Authentication team in Pune focuses on developing secure and scalable technology solutions that protect the global payments ecosystem. You’ll work with a highly skilled engineering team to build innovative cybersecurity and fraud prevention solutions, while gaining exposure to Mastercard’s cutting-edge technologies and agile development practices.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in IT or Computer Science, or Master’s in a related field.
Basic understanding of Java/J2EE technologies, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JUnit, REST APIs, and messaging.
Familiarity with microservices architecture and web technologies (JavaScript, CSS, JSON/XML, AngularJS, or similar).
Working knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle databases.
Understanding of cloud-based application development.
Awareness of the payment domain, especially card payments.
Exposure to Agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
High energy, proactive attitude, and curiosity to learn new technologies and tools.

Support the design and development of scalable software solutions under the guidance of senior developers.
Contribute to end-to-end technical architecture, including design, development, testing, deployment, configuration, and documentation.
Deliver secure, high-quality software aligned with business requirements, timelines, and budgets.
Collaborate within Agile teams to ensure reliable and maintainable solutions.
Adhere to Mastercard’s security and compliance standards throughout the development process.
