▣ Job Role: Technology Engineering Trainee – Entry

As a Technology Engineering Trainee at Equifax, you will be part of a dynamic team where your work directly contributes to innovation and industry-leading solutions. You’ll design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software solutions while collaborating with bright minds in a fast-paced environment.

▣ Your Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software applications.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design solutions.
• Apply extensive understanding of BDD/TDD practices, code review, and open source agile testing frameworks.
• Actively participate in code and design reviews to uphold high development standards.
• Showcase passion for innovation through hands-on work.
• Work with Cloud Platforms like AWS, GCP, and automate infrastructure/applications using Chef, RPM, Docker, AWS ECS/ECR, Terraform, etc.
• Apply your expertise in system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance.

▣ What Experience You Need:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other Technology-related fields (expected graduation by June 2024).
• Experience or coursework in programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar.
• Developing accessible technologies.
• Writing high-quality, maintainable, and robust code.
• Debugging, diagnosing, and troubleshooting complex production software.
• Familiarity with modern software development life cycles including CI/CD.
• Ability to operate across broad and complex business units with multiple stakeholders.

• UI Development: HTML, JavaScript, AngularJS, Angular 12+, Bootstrap.
• Design Patterns and Agile Environments (Scrum, XP).
• Software development best practices: TDD (JUnit), automated testing (Gauge, Cucumber, FitNesse), continuous integration (Jenkins, GoCD).
• Knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL) and NoSQL (Cassandra).
• Cloud Computing and SaaS (Software as a Service).
• Atlassian Tooling: JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket.
• Big Data technologies: Spark, Kafka, Hadoop.
